Asphalt patching is the most common and effective way to repair the potholes and alligator cracks in your parking lot. The patch must be extended 6” to 1’ past the damaged asphalt area to ensure a full repair.

The edges of a patch are clearly marked, sawcut, or milled out to remove the damaged asphalt completely, cleaned, sprayed with tack coat, paved with a new binder and/or surface course of asphalt and compacted.

It is standard practice for us to crackfill the edges afterwards to protect against water entering the new patch at the new sawcut or milled joints that were created. We want the repairs we have made to last many years, so we take every measure we can to protect their quality that we can!

The depth and size of the asphalt patches are dependent on the location of the patch, traffic use of the areas to be patched, geographical weather considerations for depth, and number of areas needing patched based on proximity.
